The Session recently made the decision to take the next step and seek a long-term Installed Pastor to lead us in the future. This process requires a Pastor Nominating Committee consisting of members of the congregation who are willing to do the work of finding and recommending the new Pastor candidate to the Congregation. If the Congregation votes to “Call” (hire) the candidate, he or she will become our new Pastor.

The Congregation is responsible to elect the Pastor Nominating Committee. Much like the process of electing new elders to serve on the Session, there will be a Congregational Meeting where a slate of nominees will be presented, and the congregation will vote to elect them. That meeting is scheduled for Sunday, March 29.

Once the PNC is elected, they can begin their work. It is not a quick and easy process. Typically, it takes at least a year, but that depends on many factors.”
